1. Using the site
The xqc Motor Insight website describes diagnostic scopes and provides general reading. Browsing does not require payment or an account. Journal content does not replace the manufacturer’s instructions or an assessment of a particular vehicle.
2. Inquiries and service agreements
Sending the form records a question for contact. It does not reserve time, accept a quote or authorize paid work. A service agreement should identify the provider, the vehicle and the scope actually accepted.
3. Defining the scope
A diagnostic scan, a mechanical assessment and repair work are separate tasks. Access to systems depends on the vehicle and equipment. Additional testing or repair work requires authorization if it was not included in the agreement.
4. Estimates and approval
Applicable Ontario repair protections remain in place, including rules on estimates and authorization. Discuss the amount or authorized limit and any estimate charge before proceeding. This website does not permit unapproved work or replace mandatory customer protections. Ontario repair rights.
5. Amounts and payment
Agree on the cost, applicable taxes, payment timing and method before accepting a service order. Amounts for the Ontario location should be in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. The site has no checkout and does not collect card details.
6. Vehicle information and arrival
Describe relevant symptoms, repairs and modifications. If the vehicle cannot be operated safely, arrange suitable delivery. Confirm what documents and keys are needed for the visit. These practical steps do not remove legal responsibilities.
7. Appointments and changes
An appointment exists after a time has been separately confirmed. Contact us promptly if your plans change. These website terms do not impose an automatic cancellation fee; authorized work is handled according to the agreement and applicable rights.
8. Interpreting the result
A code is a record of a detected condition, not necessarily the name of a part to replace. An intermittent concern may require further investigation. A limited review is not a check of all vehicle systems or a promise of future reliability, and does not excuse poor performance of agreed work.
9. Invoices and warranties
Records of authorized work should identify the tasks and relevant charges. Statutory repair and warranty requirements continue to apply where relevant. Nothing here shortens mandatory protection or provides a separate blanket warranty for the whole vehicle.
10. Service concerns
If you have a concern, provide the work date, enough information to locate the order and a description of the outcome you seek. Keep relevant records. Raising the matter internally does not prevent access to Consumer Protection Ontario or other available remedies.
11. Privacy and materials
The privacy notice describes the current inquiry flow. Do not submit unlawful content or unnecessary information about others. Bringing a car for a service is not permission to publish its photographs for promotion.
12. Applicable rights and updates
The site is intended for the Ontario location. Mandatory rights remain unaffected. A content update does not automatically change an accepted service agreement; any mandatory rule continues to apply where a website term conflicts with it.
