Updated October 12, 2026.
1. What this notice covers
This notice describes inquiries submitted through the xqc Motor Insight website and information exchanged during vehicle-related contact. Only share details needed to explain the matter. Do not include passwords, payment credentials or identity documents.
2. Privacy contact
For questions about your information, write to [email protected]. Include enough context to locate the inquiry, such as the approximate date and contact channel. The address and phone shown below are also used for website contact.
3. Information you provide
The form asks for your name, email, concern and consent. Phone and vehicle details are optional. Repair history may help explain a concern, but unrelated information about other people should not be included.
4. How submission works
When you submit, the server validates the fields and records the inquiry in a protected file. A success message appears after that record has been written. If saving fails, the form shows an error. Submission does not book an appointment or accept a service order.
5. Why the information is used
Inquiry details are used to understand the concern, respond, request clarification and discuss a visit you requested. Service records, invoices or complaints can involve separate purposes. Sending an inquiry does not enrol you in advertising.
6. Consent and your choices
By checking the consent box, you permit the stated handling of your inquiry. You may ask about the purpose or withdraw consent, subject to relevant legal or contractual restrictions. Information may still be needed for an agreed service or a legal obligation.
7. Accuracy and access
Identify the earlier inquiry if you need to correct a detail or request access to information held about you. A proportionate identity check may be needed to avoid disclosing information to someone else. Access can be subject to legal exceptions.
8. Retention
Keep inquiries for as long as they are needed to address the matter and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Service records and unresolved concerns may have different requirements. Once the purpose and required retention end, the information should be securely removed or made non-identifying.
9. Providers and disclosure
The hosting provider supports the technical storage of website inquiries. Authorized people handling the request and relevant service providers should only access the information they need. Separate email correspondence uses the selected mail service. Information may also be disclosed where required by law; it is not sold.
10. Technical records and cookies
The host may log connection details such as an IP address, requested resource, time and browser information. This version includes no advertising pixels, analytics, embedded maps or remote fonts, and uses no tracking cookies or browser storage for an inquiry archive.
11. Safeguards and concerns
Inquiries are stored in a server file protected against direct web access. Access should be limited to those handling the work. Raise a privacy question through the stated contact first. Guidance and complaint information are available from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
12. Changes
Changes to delivery, providers or tracking tools should be reflected in this notice. External websites follow their own policies. This site does not create advertising profiles or make automated decisions affecting legal rights.
